We sew this from thick oxford cloth backed with a smooth water barrier. Rain runs off the surface, and dust or tree sap washes away with a quick spray from the garden hose.

Two side lift handles

Pulling a stiff cover off cold metal can turn into a wrestling match. We added wide webbing handles to both sides so you can lift the cloth straight up without snagging the side shelves.

Bottom drawstring cinch

Wind tends to catch under round lids and lift loose fabric like a parachute. A cord runs through the bottom hem so you can pull the skirt close against the legs and tie it off.
