A dead bulb in a porch fixture or dining pendant usually means pulling the old one out to look at the base. We made these with a small threaded metal base and clear glass that throws a warm, yellowish glow. They dim down quietly when wired to standard dimmers.

The small base

The threaded end matches small candelabra fixtures and overhead fan housings. Look at the base on your old bulb to confirm the thread size before screwing this one into the cup.

Removable socket ring

A thin plastic collar sits at the neck. Deep sockets take the bulb with the collar in place, while shallow sockets seat better once you pull that plastic ring off the glass.

Warm yellowish light

Clear glass surrounds the filament elements to put out a soft, warm light instead of a harsh white glare. It matches the color of classic indoor bulbs across a room.

Smooth dimmer response

These run without an audible hum or flicker when wired through ordinary wall dimmer switches. Turning the dial down drops the light output steadily through the range.
