Charcoal smoke and a slow spin change how a bird roasts. We form the outer collar from dark coated steel with a rolled lip that nests right on the round bowl. The electric drive turns steadily without awkward counterbalance weights to adjust in the wind.

Rolled steel ring

We press the collar from thick sheet steel coated for hot coals. The lower lip rests directly on the rim of the round kettle bowl, creating a stable platform for the skewer.

Steady motor drive

The electric motor housing slides into place on the side bracket. It turns the long spit slowly over the fire, so dripping juices run across the meat instead of straight down.

One piece spit

The solid central rod needs no extra counterweight to keep moving. Prongs slide along the shaft and clamp tight to hold a whole chicken or small roast centered in the heat.

Dual wooden grips

Two thick wooden handles stay cool enough to hold when you lift the hot ring off the base. They give you a broad handhold when charcoal needs tending below.
