Blackstone griddles

Shelf: Under-grill mats
Size: 79 x 52
Cut for: Blackstone griddles

Deck boards soak up grease quickly, and getting those dark spots out of wood or stone takes hard scrubbing. We build this wide mat from silicone-coated fiberglass so drips stay on top of the surface instead of sinking into the grain. Four weighted corners keep the edges flat on breezy afternoons.

Silicone over fiberglass core

The material combines a woven fiberglass base with a smooth silicone outer coat. Grease pools on top instead of soaking through, and embers from a fire pit will not melt the fabric beneath.

Weighted corner plates

Four metal plates reinforce the corners. The extra heft prevents the edges from lifting in strong gusts or curling when the sun warms the patio surface during long afternoons.

Wide rectangular footprint

The mat spans a broad patch of ground to cover the space beneath wide griddle frames and side shelves. Grease spatters often drift past the cooktop edge, so extra width helps.

Wipe down cleanup

Grease lifts off the smooth surface with warm water and basic dish soap. Hose it down after cooking, let it dry on the railing, then fold it away until the next cookout.
