A vertical smoker catches a lot of wind across its broad face. We sew this cover from heavy polyester fabric cut to drop straight over the tall body, with a zipper running down the front so you do not have to fight the top corners every time you cook. It matches the vertical models we list below.

Heavy coated fabric

We use a thick woven polyester with a weather-resistant backing. The double-stitched seams hold against the sharp corners of the smoker cabinet and the top edge of the pellet hopper.

Full length front zipper

The zipper runs down the face so you can slip the fabric on without snagging the thermometer probe port or the chimney. Pull it shut and the front stays flat against the door.

Side vents and straps

Mesh vents allow air to circulate around the steel body so condensation does not sit under the cloth. Hook and loop straps on the lower panels pull the excess fabric snug against gusty weather.

Checking the body shape

This pattern is cut tall for vertical pellet smokers. It will not drop correctly over horizontal barrel grills, so check the cabinet shape against the models we list beside this note before pulling the old cover off.
