Pushing the igniter button and hearing nothing usually means the old spark box gave up under the control panel. We built this push button spark generator to take a standard battery and send current to the electrodes across your burners. Check the models we list beside this note before taking your old box off.

Push button setup

The threaded button unscrews so you can drop a fresh battery into the chamber. It sits through the front face of the grill panel, keeping the push cap right where your thumb expects it.

Rear terminal prongs

Spade terminals on the back casing take the push-on lead wires coming from your electrode pins. The plastic housing keeps the connections separated inside the dark cabinet space under the knobs.

Checking the wires

Old ignition leads tend to stick to the prongs after a couple summers outdoors. Pull the old spade clips gently off the back pins so you can push them straight onto this new module.
